The Club is registered and regulated by OFSTED, it caters to children aged 3 to 11years old.
Our aim is to provide high quality, affordable, reliable, and accessible childcare
to parents and carers, especially those who are working or training. We endeavour to
meet all our children’s individual needs with a hardworking and highly qualified team of
staff.
The children are introduced to a variety of activities, which are planned to stimulate and
encourage development as well as to teach them to co-operate with each other and
also to ensure that all children have equal opportunity to participate in activities of their
choice.
The atmosphere and activities at the club encourages confidence, independence, and enjoyment.
We pride ourselves in having a well structured and balanced day where the
children always want to stay longer.
As an OFSTED registered childcare provider, we accept childcare vouchers and we
are registered with most childcare vouchers employee schemes. Please advise us of
the scheme details and we will do the rest.
As life become more hectic, parents struggle to balance work and childcare. Family 1st is here to help. We understand that your concerns are for your children's wellbeing, safety and happiness. What we offer can put your mind at rest on all three accounts.
Family 1st was created to ensure the wellbeing, safety and happiness of your children while out of school to give parent peace of mind on were their children are while at work.
We ensure the centre is a comfortable, healthy and happy environment for the children by providing a variety of play and learning equipments for the children to choose from and we also taylor learning to a child's specific needs were necessary.
We also provide a adhoc service for parents with shift work. You can book up to the day before as long as there is availability and the session has been confirmed by email or over the phone.
We ensure the safety of the children by conducting a daily risk assessment at the centre and outdoor play area.
The clubs are equipped with modern controlled door entry and all children are signed in and signed out on the tablet by staff when collected by a parent or named carer. The children are also signed in on the tablet upon arrival at the after school club.
Family 1st club settings are close to local schools, minimising travel time and disruption for children. The children and staff wear High Visbility Vest to and from school walks and also for trips to either library or park.
Onsite KS1 children are taken to school and collection from school by staffs known by the school. Offsite children are walked to school and dropped off and also picked up from school and walked back to the centre by staffs known by the school.
To ensure the children's happiness, we encourage the children to participate in planning interesting activities they will like to do. We believe if they are partly responsible on deciding what to do, we can accommodate their request and they will engage more in and enjoy their time with us.
RICHARD HOUSE CHILDREN'S HOSPICE
Opened in 2000, Richard House was London’s first children’s hospice. It was founded by our Life-President Anthea Hare, who was inspired by both her experience as a paediatric nurse at Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, and through helping her parents to look after her severely autistic brother.
